Manna Tuition Assistance Program

Manna FAQs

What is Manna?
Manna is a discounted gift certificate program established to offer participating families a way to earn tuition credit. The goal of the Manna Program is to help families who believe in the Catholic education of their children. This is not a fundraiser, but a way to help reduce your tuition costs.

How does it work?
When you purchase $100 of Manna certificates, you get $100 of purchasing power. The Manna program purchases $100 in certificates at a discount, so the difference between what you pay Manna for them becomes a credit on your account. For example, the discount rate on Jewel certificate is 4%. For every $100 of Jewel certificates you buy, Manna pays $96 and you get the $4 difference in tuition credit. Discounts range from 2% to 26%.

When you shop at participating stores, you use the certificates the same as you would use cash. Simply hand the certificates to the sales clerk.

Who can participate?
Families who have children in Visitation School and the Visitation Religious Education Program. People who have children too young to attend school can begin earning credit for the year the child enters Visitation. Also, friends and other family members like grandparents, or aunts and uncles can purchase certificates in you family's name, which would increase your tuition credit.

How do I start?
Simply bring your checkbook to one of our Walk-in services on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 pm or Friday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. We will help you fill out the Manna order form. The program runs year round (even during the holiday breaks) throughout the school year and summer vacation. You can join at any time; however, the sooner you begin the greater your earned credit.

How do I get the credit?
Credit is accumulated during the year and noted on each order form. In April, a certificate showing your accumulated credit will be issued to you. Deduct the amount on your Manna credit certificate from your tuition balance due. Turn that certificate in with your final tuition payment and your tuition account will be credited for the amount of Manna you have earned.
