The goal of the Visitation Student Council is to encourage students' interest in government as well as teaching the students how to develop, plan, and carry out successful events for the good of the Visitation student body and the community. Events include fundraisers for the council as well as charity offerings and meaningful events for the students of Visitation. There are 12 members on the 2011-12 Council, as well as representatives from each Grade 5-8 homeroom. All members were elected by their peers in an election at the start of the school year.  Eight, 7th or 8th graders serve as homeroom representatives for the kdg. - third grades. The fall election is open to 7th or 8th grade students.

We are looking forward to celebrating Catholic Schools Week beginning January 29th to February 3rd.  The student council in cooperation with Mrs. Benes and the Art Classes will be presenting"A Portrait of Visitation School".  We will also celebrate our teachers and staff for all they do for and with our students.
