Volunteer Opportunities for 2012-2013 School Year

As most of you know,  Cub Scout Pack 14 relies completely on volunteers. There are many opportunities to Volunteer throughout the year. We are currently looking to fill numerous positions. Please take a look at the list below to see if you are able to fill any of our open positions. Click here to see all the pack positions and descriptions. While some of these positions seem overwhelming, we are fortunate to have notes from past volunteers that make every job a lot easier. (For example...the committee chair position is at most 2 hours a month of work. That is ALL. I have every email that has been sent out to the pack and a great filing system. Another example is the treasurer...you write the checks when it is convenient for you.)

Again, please consider volunteering your time to this organization. Through Cub Scouts, I hope that each and every one of your families are able to make your own memories that will last forever.

Please contact Becky Cira or Katie Gallagher to volunteer or with any questions.

For those new to cub scouts, the camp is a ton of fun for the boys. The regular activities are the archery range and the bb gun range. They usually have some sort of craft to make, they play some sport, they may cook, do a science experiment and in the past they built rocket ships and had races (similar to pinewood derby), they may also get to fish. There are so many more possibilities but TFC is still ironing out plans.

Happy Camping.

COME JOIN US!

The Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops at Visitation are a much needed presence in the Visitation parish community. They also have a lot of fun! Any boy first grade on up is welcome to join and enjoy the adventures that scouting brings. The fun includes overnight camping at Butterfield Park, participation in the Pinewood Derby, an all-pack outing (this year it was an overnight at the Bulls/Sox Training Academy in Lisle, IL), opportunities to go to the Three Fires Council summer night camp, walking in the Memorial Day parade, as well as several more adventures that take place weekly in the smaller dens. For more information on joining the pack, please contact Al Yasdick.
