What's New at Vis?

News for the Week of April 21 2014:

  • Tues, Apr 22 – School Resumes
  • Fri, Apr 25 – Fourth Interim – Check your student's backpack for the 4th and final interim.
  • Mon, Apr 28 ALL SCHOOL MASS WITH BISHOP CONLON!! – Bishop Conlon will celebrate 8:15 mass with the Visitation students. Following mass he will visit our school and classrooms. All are welcome to join us at the special mass celebration!!

Other Information

  • STL Scholarship Deadline is April 25 – Attention 8th Graders!!! – Applications and instructions for applying to CCW's Sister Thomas Leo $1,000 scholarship were distributed to both 8th grade Visitation classes. The scholarship is open to all graduating 8th grade Vis students planning on attending either a Catholic or public high school in the fall of 2014.   • Girl Scout HappeningsAttention all Girl Scouts and Moms!! –  The 4th grade scouts are hosting a Mother Daughter Tea Party on Saturday, April 26 from 9:30 - 11 am in the Parish Center. The morning will consist of tea, light breakfast fare, and a craft. The 4th graders are also collecting canned goods for the IC Food Pantry. For every can donated, the scout will receive a raffle ticket to win a gift certificate to Sweet P Doll studio. The cost is $8 per couple.  For more information or the registration form, please email Michelle Morris.
  • Lunch Monitor Request – Sign up to spend some quality time with your kids (and a couple dozen of their friends) and give our teachers a little break. We are looking for a few more “lunch moms!" Click HERE to go to the link for the Lunch Monitor sign up sheet for the 2013-2014 school year. Parent(s) will monitor one wing and each shift is 40 minutes in length (with the exception of Jr. High, which is a 20 minute shift). Shift times are as follows: Primary Wing - 11:30am-12:10pm; Intermediate Wing - 11:40am-12:20pm; Jr. High Wing - 11:40am-12:00pm. When you arrive for your shift, please check in with the front office. Younger siblings are welcome! Please consider signing up for a shift (or two!). Qustions? Please contact Meredith Wisniewski.


CCW Information

Please see the CCW Upcoming Events page and other various CCW web pages for information on the Visitation Council for Catholic Women. Events to come include the CCW 2014-15 Installation Mass and Luncheon on May 13.


Visitation is always collecting used inkjet, laser cartridges
and small electronics. 
Small electronics are old cell phones,
MP3/4 players and tablet computers.
